It was simple enough. Return to where Almata had been captured; Westmount Hotel, search for clue, find said clue, bust down some shady establishment and then rescue Almata, done deal.
So far, she and Jill were stuck on step number two, finding said clue. Rather early in the mission to get tripped up on..
"Ugggh. Can I get Sherlock Holmes in here? This blows."
Aynn groaned. They were hiding in an alley near Westmount Hotel, a half-hour of fruitless searching already passed. The building itself was guarded heavily, so the best they could do was stick to skirting around it. And you had to remember that Jillian wasn't very..stealthy as a cyborg. Despite being painted black. Well. It was also morning, of course. Maybe they could pass her off as some of those people who did cosplay. Good excuse.
A beep from her terminal notified her of a new message, Aynn promptly whipping the handheld out and accessing the inbox. It was from Saito, informing them on a possible lead from a group of maid that were ending their work shift right now. They had been servicing that orc boss, Doki, apparently. Who knew what pillow talk they had exchanged, hm?
She locked the terminal and shoved it down her pant pocket, hugging close to the brick wall of the alley and peeking out at the entrance of Westmount. As if on cue with Saito's missive, three women stepped out of the building. Red, yellow and black hair...and they all look beat to hell.
"Ugh. "Service", huh? Must've been one rough night."
Aynn muttered under her breath. She glanced over to Jillian, signalling for the cyborg girl to keep an eye on her back and remain hidden while she approached the women.
"Wish me luck, girl."
She grinned at her friend, winking mischievously before she stepped out into the open, casually trailing behind the three maids. She waited a while for them to get out of sight of the guards before approaching them silently from behind.
"Hello, ladies. Sorry for the interruption, but I'm looking for a very dear friend of mine. She looks like this..ring any bells?"
Aynn inquired, her voice soft enough to be audible only to the maids and herself. She flashed a photo of Almata on her terminal on her inquiry, hoping that the maids could recognize her.
"Ah, she might've been..just a lil bit bossy, yeah?"
She smiled at the trio, shrugging.
Sleep unbeknownst to I, this one lives in perpetual need of coffee..
