Alright all, the release is free! This version has new art, new music, new maps, a new heroine, a bunch of new dungeons and more!

This game looks awesome, the CG looks great, but i can't play it since i can't move, the character moves to the left by himself, i don't know why this happens, anybody knows why? it happens with every RPG maker game i try. Help please!

This is a common problem caused by RPG Maker. Here's the solution:

"Close VX, turn your computer off, remove any USB devices from it, then turn it back on. Then start plugging them back in, it should be fixed now."

Unfortunately it's caused by the system and not the game, so I can't personally fix it. But that should work.

Yeah, just got it and trying it now. I hope to test and review all of the parts as thoroughly as possible as I play.

Intro Review (beginning to just after conquering the first village):

Good (hey, nice changes!)

-So far, I like the new tower layout. It feels grander and more sinister then before, as befitting the formerly-ultimate Overlord. Same with the general tower/tower heart music; grand and imposing with the right amount of sinister to set the mood.

-The battle music is both pumped up and smooth, so I can either get all excited about fighting enemies or sit there and jam to it. In fact, it's probably some of the most appropriate battle music for a porn RPG I've had the pleasure to listen to.

-I love the crazy contrast the rest music has to the castle themes: "I am the Master, sexual deviant and all powerful evil overbeing! Mwahahaha!! I am now going to lie down in this horrible coffin for my nappies with my teddy! Night night!"

-A combo system?? Oh fun, can't wait to see how this works! Can we expect combo-techniques next?!

-A kill/spare mechanic for the village?? How deliciously moral-choicy, I like it! I'm going "all spare" for now.

-Item shop's new design looks much better! I like the grander look of the place that holds all of the castle upgrades!

-Private Quarters, once again, look suitably opulent and grand for the Master. I also like that info about buffs/debuffs and some backstory elements were put in here in a way that makes sense. Would you believe I didn't know that buffs stack with overmind orders before now? Top marks here!

Bad (bugs and such)

-Walking into the bottom right corner of the broader part of the carpet in front of the throne just after finishing the tutorial battle caused a stairway sound to trigger and for the destroyed throne room to change to its restored and rebuilt look. Experimenting shows this glitch is permanent for this area and game time - changing locations, talking to people multiple times, trying it before and after speaking to Tower Mistress to advance plot, before and after talking to slaves for H-scene, getting uber item, etc, have no effect. Will test after returning later in the game to see if it's still here.

-Clicking out of the game window into other windows (firefox, notepad, etc) does not also deactivate the game's keyboard shortcuts, causing the game functions to be randomly activated while I type. Not sure if this is a game engine bug or not, but something to be aware of at least.

-Body of the corridor blocking old man in the Inn ("Oh no! It's too late!") disappeared after being defeated, regardless of choice.

-Can clip through the corner of the Inn's bar

-The bodies of the two young boys beyond the corridor blocker turn into fallen girls' sprites on defeat

-Body of former guard old lady in the inn ("Don't expect me to be as weak as those old ladies!") disappeared after being defeated, regardless of choice.

-Can clip through section of table near former guard old lady that has spilled wine bottle. Since this is the same section that had clipping problems at the bar, I suspect there's a problem with that specific tile piece not being set properly. Other sprites besides the player can clip through, too.

-"Protect the girls!" old man's body disappeared after being defeated, regardless of choice.

-Kael reached level 10 - the icons denoting which stats increased didn't appear (they did when the Overmind leveled to 6, though).

-While talking to Tower Mistress after conquering village, when she says "My final surprise is downstairs...", her name changes to just "Tower" for no reason. Also "Go and take a look." does not wrap properly in the speech field.

-Slave says "(Not yet implemented)" for the power upgrade feature, even though it's present in-game.

-Learn Shade Spell costs 5 Orgasm Energy even though it says 10

-Upgrade Loyalty and More commands in the orb's Power Upgrade feature don't work.

-"Soon-to-be nails, screws, tools and other various parts used in construction." doesn't wrap in the text field correctly.

-Private Quarters Restoration works immediately, unlike the other upgrades.

-Overmind Precision description: words don't wrap correctly in text box

Annoying (*I* don't like it, but could be a matter of taste, so all optional to pay attention to)

-The intro is a bit fast paced for my liking. I'd prefer if the Tower Mistress says "Meet my outside to get acquainted with fighting" and leaves you to explore the ruins instead of warping to the grounds to do battle - less disorienting and more natural to me that way, and allows veterans to skip the intro battle if we want.

-During the combat, I noticed that it takes a few seconds of dead air for the music to loop back, so might want to tighten that up if you can.

-Outside tower, when I went to the mountain pass before ready: "...It would be wise to enslave the nearby village first.": nearby to what? I'm not "near" the tower anymore when it says this, right? Better if read "enslave the village near the tower first" to be more clear to complete newbies. Also good if you could add a blurb about finding the Orb in case the player hasn't even done that yet and forgets about that key point. (Yes, I'm assuming the player is an idiot here, but you'd be surprised).

-Wish Christie had another non-cumshot pic for her sex-scene. I know in the grans scheme, she's not that important, but still...

-"Why pick a pickaxe when you can pick an axe?" - Since I just picked a pickaxe, I don't know, but shouldn't that be the other way around?

-In the item shop, the bucket in the back and the two small sacks on a shelf next to the clock are the only things that don't have descriptions. BAH!!!

-The upgrades beyond the Tower Cleanup and Private Quarters Restoration feel a bit too cheap; I can already afford them near the very beginning if I push my finances. Increasing their costs some (I'd say +3000 GP for each) would do well for now.

-Private Quarters Restoration appears to be fully upgraded even before the rest of the tower is upgraded. Not sure if it's intentional, but it feels a bit jarring, and certainly worth way more then 500GP; perhaps an additional upgrade with a "bare-bones" bedroom at first would work better?

-Blind status description: does it continue after the battle ends? The others say, so why not this one, too?

-More pointless ornaments in the crown room, please! It looks too empty right now.

-I assume the individual sex scenes hinted at with the RAWR command will be activated by selecting each girl in the throne room, with the RAWR command being used for their joint sex-scene?

Text editorial section (includes grammar/spelling mistakes and suggestions to improve readability and flow of text):

"These stairs lead to the next floor, which currently little more than a ruin..."
- should read "...which is currently little..."
"Your current slaves are, ah, missing most of what you'd call brains, even in mindless slaves."
- should read "even for mindless slaves."
"In the future, perhaps we should design the tower so it doesn't collapse if you're defeated this time."
- just remove "this time"; if you want, replacing it with "again" would sound better
Rusted Gauntlets Description: "Still do the 'bash its face in' job pretty well"
- would read better as "Will still do the"
Banded Leather Helm Description: "...and reinforced with Iron."
- decapitalize Iron, since in other descriptions, it's not capitalized and isn't a proper noun anyway
"If they could ever show hold any kind of independent thought I'm sure..."
- remove the "hold" in there. Also, a comma after "thought" would be good.
"Keep your scaly bitches out of my town!"
- Huh? Did you mean "scary" here? Would make more sense...though he does make monster girls, so I suppose it could also work sort of.
"...helped along with a little bit of brain-melting magic, and she was..."
- remove the "and" in here
"They are typically harvested near domant volcanoes..."
- should be "dormant"
Overmind Serenity description: "...to seek inner calamity..."
- I assume that should be "inner calm", since it's a synonym of serenity and calamity is not
In orb's cave: "Without me to manage its power, the orb puts out dangerous magical power."
- changing one of those "power"s to "energy" will help the flow, though it's up to how you feel on it.

That's it for now. I will put more as I continue to play.

The New Release:

Ladies and gentlemen, the new version of Overwhored is out. This fixes several bugs, notably the prison and toning down some of the jungle monsters.

The big changes aren't in this one; there will be another release in a month or two with those. I intend to rewrite several shorter sex scenes, add the monstergirl village, redesign several maps I've gotten feedback on, redo the Orb of Dominion, fix up the chapter skipping option, redesign monsters and character skills and much more.

Funding Goals Met:

I cannot express how thankful I am to you, the fans, that the funding goals for the project have been fully met. But things do not stop here.

Those goals were for art. With additional funds more things become possible - such as custom music and sound effects, payment for custom sprites, and so on.

That said right now I'm satisfied with the assets. I want to save up most of the money for two future games I already have the plot planned out for. An expansion to Overwhored called "Overwhored: Fall From Heaven", which will feature the Overmind's invasion of heaven, and "Overwhored Two", which will feature a different protagonist in a new story. The Overmind's first daughter is a character you will see sealed away inside the monstergirl village in this game.



I would also like to spend a small portion on advertising so more people can know about and enjoy Overwhored.

I would eventually like to turn making H-Games into a commercial endeavor to help create an industry like Japan has in the western world. Overwhored is largely a testing ground for this. I didn't start with any particular expertise, and there IS no commercial market for adult games here. I partially want to use this project as a way to prove that I can make a game and build credibility, but also to build a team of creators so we can all have the necessary skills to make great and professional games.

I know I for one am tired of waiting for translations of Japanese games, dealing with companies that don't even want to sell to anyone else in the world, let alone listen to your feedback.

I'm obviously not alone; you; the fans of the Overwhored project, are from all over the world. Not just the US, Canada and the UK, but all over Europe and even in Russia. We all want more than we've been getting, and I want to see if I can start the industry we all want.

Overwhored itself is free and will remain free. You paid for it already with your donations; now the whole world can enjoy it.

How You Can Help:



If you have any skills which can go into helping the project, let me know! Part of building up a team now is finding people with skills to make something wonderful later. These positions are unpaid at the moment, but you'll get credit and if you do good work I'll retain you when I move on to commercial game projects. Here's some areas I'm looking for people with skills in:

Art: If you are a talented artist who is interested in getting into doing art for a game, contact me. But I'm not just looking for traditional art; if you are capable of making sprites from scratch or even simple recolors let me know. I can always use new, good sprites.

Music: The music I'm using right now is free stock music. If you can create music, contact me. I'd love custom music.

Sound Effects: I always need sound effects. Free sound effects often suck; stock sound effects occasionally cost $3-$4 for something as simple as the sound of a punch. That adds up. If you can make custom sound effects I want you on the team.

Mapping: 0nymous does a great job but I can always use another person to help out with maps. I don't touch them anymore myself if I can help it because I suck at mapping. More talented mappers will be very welcome.

Programming/Scripting: I want someone who can write custom scripts for RPG Maker VX or is at least talented at making the ones I've got play nice with each other. I am NOT a programmer and the headaches this has given me and the fandom are more numerous than the stars. Eventually I'd like to have someone create a custom program to allow work on a whole new platform altogether. RPG Maker is very limited and only works on Windows. I don't want to leave out Mac users any longer than I am forced to.

Advertising: This is a headache; there are currently no avenues beyond word of mouth that are effective at advertising adult games. I can do this but every day I spend working on this is a day I'm not writing for the game.



Finance: I'm not going to accept people I don't trust to handle project money (I'm not a naive idiot), but figuring out how to make credit card companies play nice with an h-game developer is a big freaking deal. It's half the trouble of making an adult game for commercial production in the first place. Once again, every day I spend working on this is time I am not working on the game.

Writing: I write Overwhored and I have an iron grip on the storyline, but I wouldn't mind assistant writers to help out with writing some filler and fluffing up some of the sex scenes so I can focus on the game itself. If I can trust you to write for me now I'll probably be able to trust you to write for me in future games; maybe even putting the team behind a script you write. Just keep in mind that this IS where I'm trained and this is the one area I'm going to be a perfectionist asshole. I demand good writing.

Translations: I currently have two translators; one working on a Spanish translation, one working on a German translation. I'd love to have a translator put the game in Japanese and one put the game in Russian. But honestly I don't care what language you speak. If it isn't English and you think you can do a decent job of translating then contact me. I want this game to go out to the whole world.

Teaching: This isn't strictly a position for the game per se. I don't just want to develop games in a vacuum; I want every amateur that can to take up designing adult games. The more of us there are the more we can enjoy and the easier it is for us to build a professional industry. So if you can do anything relevant and important to the development of adult games and want to give out some lessons and advice, I want you doing it. The more people know the better. Once I start being able to make these positions paid positions I'd like people who have had practice making their own games to hire from.



Data Hosting: NoMoshing of Harem Collector fame has done an excellent job hosting game data and freeing you from having to use the filesharing sites.

Anything Else: There's a lot of miscellaneous things I'm leaving out here. I'd like someone to do little detail work and 'busywork'. The boring, tedious stuff that needs doing and takes up a lot of time like attaching name tags to events. But if you have any skill you think can assist the project, contact me!



If you can do several of these things that's even better. Eventually I'd just want to run a team of skilled people and write because management and writing are what I enjoy doing.

If nothing else, write about the game on every forum, chan, subreddit or wherever else you can. I want people to know about and get to enjoy this game.

I found a minor though slightly annoying bug in the 0.4b version.
The old man and the old woman in the north east corner of the Inn in Wardhaven still block your path after their defeat if you spare them. This can lead to fully blocked paths inside the inn preventing progress.
Luckily there is an easy workaround. Leaving the Inn will have them repositioned so they won't block any paths anymore.
Resetting the map by leaving places them in their default spawning position I guess, and in that case one reset will always be enough. I'm not that familiar with rpg maker so I don't know if they can actually spawn anywhere inside their patrol area. In that case multiple resets might be necessary until you geht a positioning where they won't block progress.
If you stumble across any typos, you may keep them and rear new ones in your basement.

Hey so i just picked up your game and finished the beta. Id rate this game a 8/10. I really loved the storyline and some of the writing was ingenious. Overall gotta admit Ive fallen in love with project and would help program and would donate/buy it.

What i felt was missing

-Didnt feel like much of an overlord in terms of game play. Id like more say and control over what happens to the girls. Maybe decding who goes in to the matrix and giving all the girls some sort of stats. A balance of servants , personal guard , regular troops and then relegating some of them to the matrix to unlock overlord upgrades would be cool.
(on a more preferential note i think suikoden as a series reflects the balance of being an adventurer and being a leader that your looking for also the massive cast of npcs chilling at your base).

- I think my favorite part was honestly conquering that first village id like to see more of that. Once were awake and starting our war path why arent heroes trying to assault our castle all the time?

- I think the tower upgrades should be more expensive and id kinda like the idea of secret events around the tower and unlocking them by exploring it deeply.

- it frustrates me that we never get to see or know or really do much of anything with the girls who go into the orgasm matrix.

Walk up to the crystals and click on them; there's a scene associated with it.
