Aight.
Over the last week or two I just sank about 6 and a half hours in total into this thing after not playing it since before it got ported to a new engine.
Reasonably fun, and I only abused one of the two potentially abusable bugs I found : o.
... Still got rocked by Branda, though.
I gotta grind harder and buy better when/if I'm doing my actual 100% legit playthrough.
Maybe fewer tower upgrades and more fukken smelling salts.
...The tower DOES look like it's an Occupational safety and health hazard before you clean it up though, so... eh.
I'll fix it up anyway, and that just means I'll have to grind on more fucking skeletons before I grab milkbitch.
...Boring fighting lots of dusty bones, *grumble grumble*.
Anyway, first the list of bugs, and then on to the semi-contemporaneous notes.
Glitches/oversights
1) The Skull Band says it raises SPI and RES.
Instead it seems to provide you with a boost of about 30 attack.
(It also says it's cursed with Fear, but I didn't wear it to see what that even does.)
EDIT: Rendered obsolete by the bugfix patch, it seems. I still dunno if it screws with you by giving you "fear" status, but I'm not bothering to find out.
2) The entrance Smithy in the tower of the Overmind needs a sign, like the entrance to the potion shop and teleporters etc.
3) Some "Smelling salts" are still referred to as "stimulants" when you find them.
MIGHT give a more exhaustive list of their locations if I play through again.
4) Seems Rubati's monstergirls died although I didn't kill them.
Could be passed off as "lol a side-effect of Rubati fleeing" or something I guess.
*Grumbles*
5) Desert tunnelers take "null" damage from a lot of physical attacks.
"Magic" like Spear Thrust works fine though (and is spear thrust actually based on SPI, and is it actually magic damage? What?).
Does the desert tunneler just have crazy high physdef?
And on a related note:
(...Wait, holy shit, a fucking MUSCULAR OLD MAN AND SJW TEENAGE GIRL GAVE ME THAT MUCH TROUBLE? I'VE GOT TO GO BUY SOME FUCKING WEAPONS.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST)
6) I think you can sell the potatoes. NOT good, as they're key items... (Also they remain in your inventory after you use them in the potion.)
7) Just before Branda, the sign says "Jaitorial" execution, and not "janitorial".
8) Bottled tears are healing 1000 HP in battle. It shows +500 HP twice. USEFUL, but bugged.
9) Branda doesn't have any "special" as opposed to MP abilities.
(Also, I'm ... not particularly convinced by her being able to damage the enemies with a moo...)
10) Some of Audr's abilities are bugged when you fight her as a boss: they don't do any damage or anything else.
Some of Audr's abilities are bugged when you have her as a member: they don't require any WP or Mana.
11) Going into the north house JUST after you enter Bilibao ... doesn't enter the house.
You hear the step sounds and the screen goes black.
But then it just puts you right back where you started.
12) In the house above the dwarf complaining about potentially being one of The Steel and working for free, one "handsome" man is sitting UNDER the sprite for his chair.
13) Both the northwest and the northeast paths of the place where Bilbao's heroine gives her speech... lead to the same place.
There's only one entrance/exit to the church plaza.
Leaving via that entrance/exit takes you to the left side of the speech-giving place, so the northeast path of that place actually seems to connect to nothing.
14) Pretty sure some of the duck-mech girl's abilities are bugged too, and in a very similar way to BossAudr's... or in exactly the same way, even.
There's other stuff, like old art popping up from time to time, but I didn't make a contemporaneous note and I don't remember it.
Notes:
Right off the bat, on the topic of WHY I spread the hours over a week or more, (ie: being too tired from work to enjoy the game, so I played it on weekends) I just gotta say ... If work at one job leaves me too tired to fucking PLAY the game, then I've got a redoubled appreciation for the fact that you sometimes actually MAKE the damned thing after work at multiple ones.
Nanshe's necromantic charnel-house
Amusing that the heroine of DILIGENCE is the one who slobbily left her notes all about the place so we could read them and find out her passwords.
I do continue to approve of the idea that we bash on her magical defences enough to somehow let the potion get through, though.
It helps a bit that I THINK my party could have won anyway, through a long, gruelling and unpleasantly hard fight, if that potion thing hadn't worked.
Rubiubiubi's scaly nunnery
Still as infuriating as ever that Rubati gets away MULTIPLE FUCKING TIMES, but that's not a bug.
It'll be all the better when we catch her, and that probably ought to be priority number one as soon as possible.
I want another non-overmind magical healer in the party before I let Iskis go back to being just a background slave rather than a fighting one.
- AND THEN SHE GETS TAKEN OUT OF THE PARTY AFTER THE DORFTOWER REGARDLESS, WHETHER I LIKE IT OR NOT.
WELP. (At least it's awesome to be able to get them preggers.)
Branda's oppressed discipline-city
Still wondering what the FUCK is with having to free all Branda's prisoners before moving on, but again, not a bug.
... Oof.
Got rocked by Branda even WITH bottled tears doing their "healing twice" glitch.
I should have ground up a bit more - and more importantly, I should have gotten more healing items and smelling salts.
Also I should have noted how slow my party members were in comparison to Branda and come up with something to deal with that...
Serves me right for not using the bat, but fuck that shit.
Chick's goddamned unreliability is what screwed up the potion and caused Branda to give so much trouble in the FIRST place, so she can stay right the hell out of my party.
Also also, MAYBE Branda should have some sort of tell before she does her badical attack, Spada Infernale or whatever ... but maybe not.
AND OH BOLLOCKS!
I never realised there was a missable slavegirl.
Next time I play through I gotta remember to grab that chick from the Docks.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing the changed dialogue in the town and the port that reflects the fact that we got the FUCK rid of Branda.
That shit was just way overdue.
I mean seriously, makin' hookers and drunk celebration illegal?
We should have beaten her up even more than we did.
*grumbles*
Audr's fiery hugbox
...SOUR about having to eat your pets.
--
Oh man, the asbestos armour thing made me kinda sad.
I chuckled at most of the rest of the stuff, but that one had me more "too bad she didn't know that shit causes cancer. D : sadfaic "
It's also a bit of a shame about turning off the forges where those cute fire elementals were produced but ... guess you can't fuck a thing if it's on fire, so MINIMAL LOSS.
--
For fuck's sake, we REALLY FUCKING NEED to grab that goddamned Rubati chick, AND the Dorf bitch.
*Grumbles*
Gonna be all the better when it finally fucking arrives I guesssssssss...

Barracks acquired
FUUU THE PLOT STOLE ISKIS
Since of the 3 intial mindless slaves I like Iskis best, it's a fortunate coincidence that I also liked her impregnation scene the best.
I like milfs, I like her healing magic, and I like her dialogue best because of the coincidental fact that it's the only one that made explicit reference to her cumming.
Though Iskis is my favourite of those 3, Kael is a close second since whether they're offensive or defensive, I like mages.
But muh non-overmind healer though...
...FUUUU THE PLOT STOLE CRYSTIN
I WAS KEEPING HER IN THE PARTY FOR A SORT OF SELF-IMPOSED "HARD MODE" AND BECAUSE I LIKE HER REPEATABLE SCENE MORE THAN BRANDA'S
GEEE GEEEEEEEE
-
Kinda cute that places we can't get to in our barracks are restricted to "authorised personnel" - but the Overmind is the absolute lord and master of the castle, so I assume he'd be the ultimate in "authorised personnel". Maybe have some other reason for us not being able to get in there?
Dunno, just sayin'.

Bilibine's Steel-cold hugbox
...It's a shame we stab that repairman to take his appearance instead of knocking him out, as the Tower Mistress had said, and restraining him.
Same for the priest.
AH WELL.
...OOF.
That adorable little duck-foot girl in her mech hit HARD.
HOLY FUCKING CHRIST.
(She should also probably have attacked along with the Battle golems, even though that would have been even more overwhelming...)
Regardless, if it hadn't been for "Defend me" I mightn't have pulled through that...
Also the glitched tears helped a hell of a lot.
I was all busy trying NOT to use the glitched "Trick shot" on Audr, but I sure didn't skimp out on the tears.
Guess I gotta play another runthrough ENTIRELY legit at some point.
Though I don't know if I'm ACTUALLY going to grind up the gold I'd need in order to rely only on Lust drafts, the Overmind's heal, and BABY SEAL TEARS...
...Hahaha, I was thinking myself that he should keep some of the Steel, but the fact that at least SOME of them might have cute girls inside weighed even more heavily with
the Overmind than it did with me.
FAIR ENOUGH. I suppose we can get some more awesome golems later, but even if we can't, the Overmind makes good decisions.
Miscellaneous
In case it was a topic of any interest, for this playthrough, I finished with levels of Overmind 19, Branda 18, Audr 15 and Nanshe 18.
Dropped my speed-ups on Crystin because she's hella slow (FFFFFF NOW SHE'S GOING TO GIVE ORDERS QUICKLY AS A GENERAL AND WRITE QUICKLY AT HER DESK) and dropped all my power-ups on the Overmind. Good luck with the next update, especially since I recall seeing something about army tactics on the blog.
...On the topic of armies and the next update, it would kinda suck if any of your "army" decided to mutiny on you and join the invading heroines.
Still, given that all the heroines seem to have gotten cracked in the head, I assume that the army won't do that.
Hm.
Anyway, I'll either edit this post or make another one with more specific locations of things if I find them on my legit playthrough.
Might make proper note of some of the other stuff I failed to write down too.
Laters.
