"Are you hungry?" Thelia asked more bluntly, the smells emanating from some of the food carts nearby telling Drusilla's stomach that she hadn't eaten in a long time since her plane had crashed, and also that going forward without more door was unacceptable.

"i am a little hungry" she said looking down

[that man]

"Well, were exactly would you like to go for food?" Thelia answered as she brought Drusilla to where all of the foods were, especially since there seemed to be more food there than he she would normally see at a food market, even at some of the more crowded places. "Please, tell me which of these food stalls, and I will cover every cost that you incur."

she looked at the food stalls "jee im not sure Thelia" she said unsure what to get. After thinking about it for awhile she points to a couple of sandwiches.

Getting her sandwich, Drusilla realized that Thelia had grabbed the same thing she had, almost down to the exact number of condaments, and seemed to be trying to connect with her over something relatable rather than through using the collar or through force.

she simply smiled and ate.

"So, can you talk about the world that you came from before all of this?" Thelia smiled as she ate the food, her face showing that she really hated the taste of the sandwich but was still doing it so that she could be more relateable to Drusilla at this point. "I mean...is there all that much that is different between our island and where you came from?"

"you mean the world i want to return to?" she asked "its not as primitive as this place. we have many things that you wont see."

[that man]

"Yes," Thelia replied, moving closer to Drusilla as her eyes began to light up more, her trying to stay calm over talking about the world Drusilla came from. "Please, can you tell me if there are things like the collar system there? Or, are there things running around in the wild trying to breed with you?"

"no...not at all to any of those things. we dont use slaves anymore" she said looking a bit stern about it.

[that man]

"We don't have any slaves," Thelia answered as she leaned in closer, a look of undisguised curiosity on her face as she seemed to fail to connect the concepts together. "I mean, the Ruoge have people they keep in chains and use drugs on to keep them for either breeding or doing work for them, but I'm not sure that there are anything we have that is closer than that in terms of slaves."

she looked at thelia "yeah those would be considered slaves."

[that man]

"Then, we don't have any slaves in our village," Thelia smiled, somehow having pushed the remainder of her food onto Drusilla's plate as she continued on with, "every village here has their own version of the collar system, though only ours and the Liliths are singular custody."

"why is that" she asked "why does everyone need collars?"

[that man]

"So that we can prove when we find someone that floats in, or who is captured through other means, that they truly belong with us," Thelia replied, explaining it like it was as obvious to her as why the sun revolved around the earth.

"but people arent property" she said in a slight annoyed tone.

[that man]

"You aren't property," Thelia explained once more. "We cannot tell you what to do, only that you aren't supposed to move out of a certain range from us. We cannot buy or sell you, so it is impossible for us to claim that we own you, in any sense of the word."

"yet im pretty much restricted to going out on my own." she said "that may not be slavery but its still wrong were i come from" she said wanting to continue the argument.

[that man]

"That is because you are not thinking about every possible option you have," Thelia sighed, looking at the guys around her as she suddenly signalled one to come over...one who made Drussilla's heart skip a beat when she saw him, as he was incredibly handsome. "For example."
