deepground lab - metroidvania(wip)

I started making this game 3 days ago, it was originally gonna be a more linear platformer but before i knew it there were mechanics that wouldn't fit in a linear game, so i figured i may as well roll with it.

I don't have any simple way of getting screencaps until i reinstall gyazo.
there's no cg in the game yet but currently 4 h animations.


Controls

X to jump
C to fire
arrow keys to move

Q to load


just got the first boss made tonight (2am-9am 17/04)

In all srsness though, I like it! I'd buy it.
Some questions though:
Are you looking for community feedback on things that might have been missed?
What program did you use? I'm starting a side-scroller in Flash, but it seems like maybe
you used an engine that's not it? Is it an RPGMaker game?

its game maker (i use 8.1)
hmmm i mostly want to hear what people think of it... im almost finished making it though, or at least ive hit my minimum quota for everything except the final boss (and the pixel cg for one of the endings)
