People constantly nagging him over this is prooobably why he's started doing RPs with his contributors instead of working on the game itself. I've been in a few group chat's with them... while Kita hasn't said much, the others don't think very highly of the constant demand for updates or the community on here. At worst they're pretty viscious, at best this place is a the butt of a few jokes.

That being said, the game hasn't stopped (I've read beta versions of a few of the new scenes), but it's definitely fallen on the "priority ladder" of "fun hobbies" from the sounds of it. Why sit around and write constant smut scenes for an unpleaseable audience when you can spend some time with real friends and good writers and produce something a bit... deeper?

...Whelp. Now I'm depressed.

See, I understand exactly where you (and by extension, he) are coming from, and I even agree. I've tried my best not to post unless I have something to say, and to go out of my way to not nag and nag about hey man, when's the next update coming up? 'Cause, ya know, he's not my personal courtly h-game creator or anything.

But that also puts me in the position of having nothing to contribute either, and that means that I'm just as useless as all the people who do. Even if I'm not whining, even if I'm just patiently waiting, it still puts me in the position of wondering what I can do to help, and concluding the answer is absolutely nothing.

Sounds like a correct conclusion.
On the other hand, while "lol too much hype" is going to be fatal for ANY game's ability to meet the fanbase's expectations, Kita hasn't generated needless amounts of hype.
As long as people keep their expectations realistic, with the previous product as a guide, there's no reason to believe that the result of this update won't be worth the wait.

Yes, but THAT person has a tendency of posting the same thing on almost every thread about a game. Sometimes silence is truly golden, now don't make me get out the silver.

One day perhaps my favorite H game will continue :) until then I'll just keep watching for an update and leave it at 'I love this game' and can't wait to see what cesca does next lmao!

Honestly? Fuck the nagging asshats that keep poking at this.

Upon their own heads, you know?

Sorry if I come off as a little condescending, I just hate nagging IRL which carries over into here as well.

to be fair, I'm not exactly nagging. I don't pop into this thread often enough to nag :p I'm just making idle complaints.

A question: If understand correctly, the next update is going to have content both for the Rogue division (the one the players start in) and then content for the Arcane division, which the players will be able to gain access to. Couldn't Kita throw up an update that has the Rogue division content only so as to at least give people something to do to keep them from nagging or complaining?

Simmer down, you guys.

The updates will come when they will. Debate and infighting over when won't make anyone happy.

It might have been possible before he'd announced what the next update would contain, but at this point an update without what he'd mentioned previously would probably CAUSE more
" D : " than it cured, since it would involve going back on his word.

Also, rushing an update - ESPECIALLY just to keep people quiet - would only have a negative effect on the quality thereof.

People LEGITIMATELY just need to sit tight and chill out while the wheels of awesome grind.

For though they grind slowly, they grind exceedingly fine.

God can someone lock this topic until the boss is ready to post an update? How would you like it if you started doing something you thought was fun, and all of a sudden people kept calling you, emailing you, IMing you, all the time asking about it.

And they aren't even getting PAID.

I'd honestly tell the lot of ya to go screw yourselves. Why do I need to perform with you, I already know the story myself. It's the same thing any creator does. We already know all of our work, if we make it for others, it is to share our vision with other people. That desire to share can very easily turn malicious if we feel that all the people care about is the product as some sort of distraction, not with all the effort we put into it.

I may like the smut in this game, but there is so much more there. An entire world going off screen. It saddens me to think she put that much work into this world and this game, and 90% of the people who play it probably skip all the dialogue that isn't porn related.
