Extra pair of art hands

Postby goat » Fri Mar 08, 2013 4:38 am

Hi everyone, I've been really enjoying some of the amazing talent on this site and it's got my creative juices flowing. I'm a professional illustrator and i haven't done any erotic art for years and years but I've always been a fan. I've never used Flash (or done any animation for that matter) I mainly do vector art and photoshop paintings for work, but I'd love to help out on project if anybody needs it. I could provide raw sketches of scenes, backgrounds or vector assets.

From what I've gathered Flash has a bone tool that allows various vector objects to be linked together to form a figure (like I said I'm a real Flash newb) and then animate that figure. If anyone needs those parts I can defiantly make the art. I'm really comfortable with illustrator and have been working in that program for years, so if you can import vector art from an .ai file that would be best for me. If not flash has a pen tool and some other tools I'm familiar with (I'm not sure if it supports feathering or gradients, which are the main ways i shade, if not i can do a more cell shaded style).

I'm not sure how much time i can commit but I'm pretty fast and I'm eager to help :) Here's a quick 20 sketch i did in PS inspired by this site :D nothing fancy.

Hi and thx for sharing your art. I'm still looking for artist who would like to make some drawing for some scene in my game (Urban xLife). I'll release it this sunday, maybe a little before. If you like it and you want to give it a shot, it will be my pleasure.

Red.Sheer and I are working on a project and we really need an artist that can draw the characters and backgrounds. You can check it out here, I'll give you all the information you need if you're interested.

Here's the thread.

If not, then I'm also looking for artists to do animation collaborations with.

In case you weren't already struggling with a decision, I'd like to throw it out there that I could really do with an artist to help out on Shield High. No animation needed, just character art and *maybe* scene art depending on how you feel about it all.

Looks like a nice concept, I love designing different characters wit unique personalities and this game seems like there is a lot of room that :) i saw some of your animation tests and it seems like all you need is some new art to drop in. I can export swf files and eps files from illustrator and i think those should be able to work. It'd be good to try it out on a character first and then we could move to some of the different player avatars or what ever. Like i said in my previous post, I'm a total newb with flash so I'm not exactly sure what you need (I assume some of the animation can be done by warping a static image and some can be achieved by making a simple wireframe skeleton) so if you could do simple stick figure drawings or rough diagrams, I could work from there. It seems like a lot of the scenes are sketched in and just need rendering and polish.

So yeah, just let me know what you need, lets start with something simple and work from there :)

sounds interesting but I have a damn mac and i couldn't figure out how to run Rags on it... macs are great for art but terrible for game development... :/

I was under the impression there was a version of RAGS meant for macs. Maybe I was wrong. Well, I suppose if you can't check out what I'm working on you'd have a hard time assessing if you want to help, so fair enough.

Here's a quick animation i did in Photoshop, it's super crude as I'm tring to learn flash. It's a concept for a dating sim dialogue tree. I have all the vector art in an illustrator file that can be imported into flash.
