The Lusty Lands - Renpy RPG (V 0.07)

Hi! I've been working on a game called The Lusty Lands for a while, and a guy who posts on the dev blog said that you guys might find it interesting and I should post here. So that is what I am doing.



It's a RPG with transformation and erotic elements and old school pixel art, and it's made using renpy. It's currently in open beta, and while there is lots to do in the game - it's a open/sandboxy sort of enviroment - the main quest still can't be completed as of the current build.



You are pretty much free to explore a quirky fantasy world, meet strange people, east strange things, do strange things and do strange people.



And if the things you can find aren't enough for you, you can join the alchemists guild and mix your own transformation potions.



Hope at least some of you guys like it, I'd be interested in hearing opinions either way. The game is in open beta so things that don't work good can get fixed, after all. ^_^

I'd like to personally thank you for posting information about you game on here ^_^ It looks you've put a lot of hard work and effort into and i am excited to try it out, i especially enjoy when developers add in links to their blogs along with their content so that I can see all the other projects that they work on.

I get a lot of things are plain not done yet, or not done correctly.
Though what I'd definitely file as a bug, sides the combat not ending when you have a lust bomb, is shops selling items they buy themselves; And they buy them at higher prices.
Looks promising, though.

Oh, and I once got a chest that resulted in an extensive error console. I first thought that was part of the game.
Managed to continue afterwards, though.

Potion maker used for comedy? NEVAR!

The lust bomb pushes all enemies lust to one point under their max, it's up to you to "finish them off".

Thanks for the catch on the shop price, they all need balancing and adjusting, and I have a tendency to get confused when inputing the buy/sell prices. The game is still in beta, so this sort of thing is gonna happen, as is the occasional crash, I'm afraid. I'll have a look into what caused it, if you get any more crashes, could you copy and paste the error message you get here? It'd help me a lot in tracking them down. Thanks!

Yeh, I think I got pretty much all the potions that can be created right now.
I even created mushroom soup.
The problem I meant with the Lust bomb is that when all enemies were beat, I still had the option to use a Lust Bomb, and nothing else.
I filed that under combat glitches you mentioned somewhere.
If I ever get that particular create (where you sleep a long time) again, I'll copy the error; It was reproducible, though.
Edit: Oh, and studying in the "Library" always gives the same result, even if you pay multiple times. Same as getting the same bonus if you do a good job in the prostitute profession.

Edit: Played a Male this time (well, second time, but first time I didn't save).
When I found the first "Saucy Bandit", I didn't quite read the options and just clicked "Fight" after "Get ready to tussle". I suppose it's an in-joke, but a comment would be neat.
Next time, I read the options, selected tussle, and was greeted with an error.

I didn't copy the error, but I know that fighting the goblins tends to make it so the game locks up. Like, music and such plays, but you can't push any buttons because the 'selection screen' on the bottom turns completely black.

More often happens once I get close to beating them than anything.

Whodaman - there's not really any inventory that dosen't get used automatically - the booze and porn is just trade fodder, for buysing and selling in the shops and stuff. Bombs should pop up as an option to use in combat, if they don't, let me know and I'll try to get them fixed.

Sorry, I just figured porn could be used to lower lust without sleeping, and that feminizing booze could be drank to change gender, I mean, my brain went, "why else would they warn me not to drink this? that must mean I can drink it and gender change!"

Whats your operating system, and if you don't know the answer to that:

1.) Does your computer have the symbol of an apple on it or is just about pure white?
A) yes (I have no clue how to help apple users...sorry)
B) no (go to number 2)
2.)How long ago did you get your computer?
A) recently to Octoberish of 2012 (most likely windows 8, if it is windows 8, you might be SOL)
B) before Octoberish of 2012 to Octoberish of 2010 (Most likely have a windows 7, did you make sure to have all of your pre-requisites installed?)
C) Before Octoberish 2010 to Octoberish of 2006 (Most likely have windows vista, there is your problem, upgrade to windows 7 then install pre-reqs...vista is not a good operating system.)
D) Before Octoberish 2006 to Octoberish 2001 (You have windows XP most likely, the most stable operating system windows had until they made windows 7. I am pretty sure there is some elaborate workaround to get pre-reqs that would normally not work on this operating system to work, but it is highly recommended you just get a windows 7 machine, especially if you have no clue what an operating system is)

Sorry if it seams like I'm being an asshole, but working in tech support has shown me that Darwinism is an incorrect theory, unfortunately. Not everyone is the brightest tool in the shed.

You got a good pixel art base, but if you are going for minimum color palettes, and soft outlines, I really recommend learning to dither. If you have 3 colors, and you dither, you effectively have 5. Makes coloring less harsh on the eyes too <3
