I've started to make progress on the sprites too. It's only a base but it shows some of the angles the female sprites, I'm still yet to make the two angles facing away from the camera though. Be sure to tell me if you see anything off about the sprite too
Ah... yes... another important issue that is core to the way the game works; you need to decide if you are going to have one main ditto sprite that has skin changes when it morphs or are you going to create unique bodies for each morph? This is a important difference because with the first, you need to code the morph command to exchange the skin pieces while critical sizes remain same (body, mouth, anything that is penetrated). If it is the second, then the morph command must be coded to toggle the sprites themselves that have unique / individual animations.
Right now it is set up as #2; my advice would be to use #1, though. Ditto could just remain female with jelly dick for futa if needed; like for example, sex with elec would result in elly morph, not male version.
This is a big "core" decision so think carefully. Pros and cons:
#1 skins over sprites
Good:
Instant skin swaps means animations must only be done once, and each char skin will mold to animation - very versatile, clean, easy to add and program with
Bad:
Ditto can really only have one core form, locked into female gender (though futa-able), flexibility with morph art and design are limited - if not done well all characters seem the same
#2 sprites over skins
Good:
Higher quality art and more diverse collection of characters - every sex interaction and motion are unique to that character allowing for great creative flexibility
Bad:
Because character physics are not interchangeable, animations must be done for each sprite; instead of having one walk animation, you would have 10+ (how ever many unique models), as you add more characters animation demands scale out of control - very graphic / animate work heavy
So, make a choice and I will change game to suit choice.
